API keys – update
We have introduced several changes concerning WebAPI and REST API keys.
As we want the authorization process to be easier, we no longer require API Key header. We do not display it on the application management page and do not include it in newly generated applications. Moreover, we will ignore the header if you transfer it in your requests.
We have also extended Client ID (an identifier that is generated during application registration). From now on, you can use it instead of webapiKey if you are a WebAPI user. Nonetheless, the existing keys will work as they should.
We have also changed the place where you can find information on your WebAPI key. It used to be “My account > WebAPI > Information and settings” in My Allegro, but now this information is on the application management page on the developer portal. If you visit the old space, we will redirect you to the new one.
